I see so many requests for this cookbook. Has anyone received it and tried any of the receipes? I don't like putting my email address out there so openly. If I put it in my profile will people see it? Does anyone know the type of file this cookbook is and the size of it? The original post was from a while back and I'm wondering if it's still active. Sorry, I'm not familiar with everyone here so I don't mean to offend. Thanks.

Don't worry. I don't bite.

You don't have to post your email address here. In fact, I discourage you from posting your email address, for your own security. (Not only that, but I do get emails every day, but I don't always get here every day.)

You can email me directly. My email is:

mysticwhim@ameritech.net

BE SURE TO PUT KITCHENAID IN THE SUBJECT LINE.

(Not only does this keep most of the requests out of my spam folder, it also gets you a faster response.) If you email me using this KitchenAid email, don't worry about not being able to put KITCHENAID in the subject line - it does it automatically.

Real life has been interfering a lot lately, and has kept me from posting here, but I assure you, the Mystical Cookbook is still available, still free, and I send them out daily. I never stopped.

If you haven't received your Mystical Cookbook, please try emailing me again. I've tried to arrange things so that you get a rapid response. If you haven't heard from me within a few days, I probably didn't get your email. Please try again.

There are two types of files attached when I reply. The Mystical Cookbook isn't really a book at all. It's actually a collection of recipes in a text file. You don't have to have any kind of special software to be able to use the Mystical Cookbook: One file is a text (.txt) file. That type of file you should be able to open with any basic word processing program (such as Word, Works, Notepad, Wordpad, etc. The second attached file is a .dvo file. That's for those of you who have Cook'n software. Just open whichever file that you prefer.

The text file is about 231kb. The .dvo file is about 247kb. They contain the same information, just different formats. Anyone should be able to open the .txt document. And please don't hold me to these file sizes. I hope they will get larger over time. If I finally get some free time, I plan to add more recipes in the future.

Most of the recipes came from KitchenAid. When you purchase a mixer, you get a manual that contains some recipes. But the manuals/recipes are different for each model, and they have sometimes changed over time. I have a handful of these recipe books, and have added all the recipes into the Mystical Cookbook. I have also added the recipes that used to be posted on the old Canadian KitchenAid site. There's a few recipes from this group, and a few from various other sources, like the KitchenAid newsletter. But the vast majority of recipes came directly from KitchenAid.

Some recipes are simple, some are a bit more challenging, and some are inbetween.

If you've had probelms receiving the Mystical Cookbook, let me know and I'll try to work with you.

Thanks for your patience!

Just received my copy What an awesome collection of recipes specially tailored to the Kitchenaid stand mixer!

Thank you, Mystic, for sharing the result of your efforts with me. I can't imagine how many hours you have into assembling the cookbook, let alone the time you spend making it available to the rest of us! Your passion and commitment, like some other notable members, are what make this place more than a message board. You make this place a community, one I feel blessed to be a part of.

You never forget your first - Me and my first KA (Pro600 in copper pearl), together since May 10, 2007. Now with a side kick, a 750 food processor, the perfect back up officer to any action my stand mixer is ready to take on!
